Varnish & Clear Finishes

The Epifanes range of varnishes offer a solution for all types of wood and finishes. From traditional single pack coatings to hard wearing quick drying two pack finishes. From full gloss to flat finish, Epifanes can offer a suitable solution.

Clear Varnish

World Famous, highest quality marine spar varnish. Manufactured with tung oil, U.V. filters, phenol and alkyd resins for superior protection.

Rubbed Effect Varnish

Hard one-component interior varnish with beautiful satin sheen and good scratch resistance. Suitable for all interior woodwork. Impervious to alcohol and most onboard chemicals.

Rapidcoat

For long term protection and enhancement of all marine and household woods. Interior and exterior wood above the waterline. Rapidcoat can be used for renewing weathered areas, as a stain prior to a varnish system or as a full system for those requiring the absolute best in a quick and easy satin finish with maximum durability, UV protection and longevity.

Rapidclear

Epifanes Raipdclear is the answer for a quick and easy alternative to conventional varnish. Rapidclear is a superior quality, semi-gloss finish for marine woods interior and exterior. Rapidclear provides an enhancing U.V. protecting film which bonds well to teak and other oily wood, preventing discolorisation and emphasizes the natural grain of the wood. Excellent weather resistance, maximum durability, U.V. protection and longevity.

Wood Finish Matte

Epifanes Woodfinish matte provides a beautiful, rich, matte finish for all fine woodworks, like teak and iroco, giving years of exceptional protection.

Wood Finish Gloss

Classic varnish-like oil based gloss finish with microscopic porosity properties. Especially suited on oily, resinous tropical types of wood and American pine. As alternative for the continuous maintenance of impregnating woodoil systems. Excellent adhesion to well degreased and sanded teak, iroco and other (oily and resinous) types of wood. If a maximum of 5 coats are applied, this oil varnish still allows the wood to breathe. Further build-up will close the wood.

PP Varnish Extra

Two-component varnish for all types of wood. Recommended sealer for oily wood, i.e. teak and iroco.
Resistant to various chemicals, alcohols, soft drinks, water and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon
solvents. Fast drying, superior filling and build-up varnish in both exterior and interior varnish
systems. Excellent flow and abrasion resistance. Outstanding interior gloss retention. The varnish
contains a high-quality UV filter, however for exterior use it is advised to overcoat with 2-3 coats
Epifanes Polyurethane Clear or Epifanes Clear Gloss Varnish for extra U.V. protection and easy
maintenance.

Polyurethand Satin & Gloss

Satin:A two-component interior varnish with rich satin sheen and excellent scratch and mechanical
resistance. Suitable for all interior woodwork. Highly impervious to alcohol and onboard chemicals.

Gloss:A two-component high-gloss yacht varnish with U.V. filter. Resistant to weathering, chemicals and
loss of gloss. Suitable as a varnish system on its own, as a U.V. resistant and protective finishing coat on
epoxy resin or as an intermediate adhesion coat on wood treated with epoxy resin prior to the
application of a one-component varnish.The outstanding flow characteristics make this twocomponent
varnish suitable for both brush and spray application
